Can you search to see if a Provisional Patent was filed?

I am ready to send in my provisional patent and thought I would do a internet search to see if my new product idea was out there yet. To my suprise there are two different people selling the exact item I trying to patent. As of 6 months ago I could not find anything on this product. One of them is claiming Patent Pending. Is there a way to find out if they actually filed a Provisional or non-provisional? I searched and could not find anything. Should I send in my patent??
