changing the chemical structure

I would like to know, if it is possible to change a existing patented product. by change one supstands in the chemical structure. will it be a differend product the.

You can know so by conducting a prior art search. However if the resulting combination is not novel, or perhaps it would just relate to a new discovery of an already existing chemical combination in nature. Hence the process to create such a combination might withstand the novelty and utilitarian test of patentability maybe not the exact product itself.
