collecting royalties owed
Posted by Anonymous . updated on 3/1/2010
I bought into a invention fifteen years ago, I recently discovered the invention was patented, and sold. Other inventions stemming from the original have also been sold. I have the original contract, and list of the inventions.

Well if it states under a clause that you are being owed a percentage of the profits of the sale of the particular invention then you would need to see a good lawyer who can help you draft a letter to the person(s) or company selling such invention. Also, need to make sure whether the clause states if the royalty rights were pertaining only to that particular invention which mostly the case would be rather than the inventions stemming from it.
Also, if you have waived all royalty rights to such invention in your contract, there is nothing much you can do about it now.
