If one person applied for a patent for a medicinal preparation of a mutaed genome of the species Lucasputin Melissa that cures a disease by inhibiting the growth of Lucasputin Melissa virus that causes the said disease.The virus has caused an epidemic in India.The patent application has been rejected by the Indian patent office under sec3(j) & the same has been confirmed by the High court on appeal.Meanwhile,the goverment has taken the disclose of the invention and given the same to commercial pharmaceutical companies to futher develop & manufacture the drug so as to eliminate the epidemic. Adise to the person for the next step to be taken.
