Is it OK for adults to eat kid's food?

On Friday after school, me and my little cousin shared some cereal. It was actually those things for little kids to eat (they were called GRADUATES® Fruit Puffs – Strawberry Apple). When I told my mom me and my cousin ate it all, my mom told me that those were only for little kids to eat. Do these types of food have age restrictions (Are they only meant for little kids?)? I mean, I ate them before over a year ago, and they taste really good. (My uncle gave some to me) My sister also ate them, and so did some teachers as my school. The box also didn't say anything about kids and adults age 4 and up eating them.
