Is it legal to purchase baseball batting gloves made by manufacturers like Rawlings, Nike, Mizuno, etc. in stores and modify them and resell them for a different baseball use? Do you need permission from the manufacturer to do this?

It depends on what you mean by a "different baseball use." I suggest that you resubmit the question with an explanation of what you intend. If the information is confidential, you should arrange to consult with a lawyer privately. See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
