Tv show idea

I have a great idea for a reality tv show. I know it will be a instint hit. However , i dont know if i need to trade mark the name of the show or patent the idea for the show . Im so lost right now but im willing to do what ever it takes to get this rolling. ANy informaton would help . Thank you so much for your time.

You may trademark the name for purposes of the show, as well as copyright its content if it is uniquely expressed. See http://www.patentexpress.com/browse/video.aspx for more details on copyrights.
It is best to go in for a combo of a trademark and a copyright.
