What needs to happen to a patent when the company type changes from LLC to Corp?
Posted by Anonymous . updated on 6/3/2011
We have a patent that has been issued in several countries under XYZ LLC. This year we will convert from an LLC to a Corporation, but keep all else the same. Does the change of company type count as if a new company now owns the patent or is it correctly recognized as a transfer and does not necessitate the extra mounds of paperwork and funds?
