Who Owns The Rights

I have a patent on a product and process. I wish to manufacture the product directly. In order to produce this product, I need to have retooling completed or, if not possible, create the machinery from scratch. I would require an engineer to make the necessary alterations. How can I assure that my company will retain the patent rights for this newly retooled/created machinery?

Add a clause to the Independent Contractor Agreement (IDA) signed with the engineering firm stating that all IP created during the duration of the contract or till the term the contract is in force; all ownership rights of such IP creation shall belong to yourself or your co. This of course is a very general idea about the IP ownership creation clause to be added and must not be taken to replace legal advice.
