How does one file a patent application with the European Patent Office? Video Transcript

In this section, I am going to answer how does one file with the European Patent Office. You could file with the European Patent Office. It is very expensive. You have to translate to the member countries of the European Patent Office often, and it is also treated as a single country. You do a single European application. Before the patent is issued, you need to make the translation in the countries where you want to protect the invention. It lasts for 20 years and it is called Euro patent. There is a whole bunch of procedures to file a Euro patent using the patent procedures of the European Union.
