An office action is a notice from the United States Trademark Office that describes why your trademark is rejected, objected to, or allowable. Generally, the U.S. trademark office says that your trademark is not distinctive enough, or is confusingly similar to another mark that exists in the marketplace. The goal is to convince the U.S. trademark office that your mark is sufficiently distinctive. Sometimes, you can change the classification and description of your trademark to comply with requirements of the U.S. trademark office.
