How to write a patent Video Transcript

In the starting step, you are going to be doing two things. You are going to be selecting the patent field and you are going to be naming your file. Selecting the patent field means that you are going to be indicating what subject area your invention falls into. This is important so that the rest of the process can be guided through Patent Express based on the kind of invention you have. Different kinds of inventions have different best practices. So to guide you best, we want to know what is the general subject area where your invention falls. The second thing we want to know is to indicate what is the name of your invention and that is what you will be saving as the file name. The file is going to be the name of your invention and that is going to help identify this invention versus other things you might file. It might help to be a preliminary basis for a title that you might call your patent. Though the title can change later on, this title of the invention is a good thing as a marker to help us get going.
